I have just finished painting these beauties!
victrix heavy dragoons. They are a real pleasure to paint, with great detail and I love the horses. These represent the Inniskillings during the Peninsular campaign. More pics to follow once Steve has based them up
Hi Steve,
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely and good to see you back updating your Naps blog!
WHat paint do you use for your horses? I wish I could get my horses to look like that.
Cheers
Paul
Hi Paul,
ReplyDeleteYes I am back into the Naps!Sadly those arnt for me they are for Victrix. I do have a large amount of 28mm Prussians itching to get on my painting desk.
The horse flesh is painted mainly using foundry paints triads. although i tend not to use it straight out of the tub instead adidng more of the lighter as i highlight as i dont like to much of a cartoony effect. the dark horses are based on "bay brown", medium "spearstaff brown" and "chestnut brown" reddy browns "dusky flesh" khaki browns "rawhide"
Cheers
Steve
